The effect of flooding on the Ngatapa School grounds and facilities was the subject of a letter received by the Hawke's Bay Education Board at its meeting in Napier yesterday. The letter from the school committee pointed out that owing to continual floods the ground surrounding the shelter shed had been so built up with silt that the floor now merely acted as a reservoir. The committee recommended that the shed, which was rotting owing to the constant damp, should be lifted and removed to another part of file grounds. This suggestion was supported by tlie board s architect, who estimated the cost of removing the shed and placing it on a concrete door at £24. The board approved tinexpenditure.
