The Under-Secretary for Housing, Mr. J. A. Lee, anounced to-day that the Cabinet had approved of purchases of land for housing consisting of an area at Point Chevalier lor approximately 157 houses: at New Lynn, for 20 houses; arid at Avondale for two houses; at Petone, an area sufficient for 100; at Lower Hutt, for 03; at Te Puke, sufficient for 13; at Tauranga, 11; at Christchurch, sufficient for eight at Spreydon and 20 at Papanui; at Dunedin, sufficient for five at North East Valley; and at Mataurn, sufficient for 15.
