DAVIS CUP TEAIVI “CHANGES ARE FAIR” (Pnr Proas AnHOciation.) AUCKLAND, this day. On their way to the United States to play for Australia in the Davis Cup contests, IT. Ilopman, J. Bromwich, Adrian Quist .and Len Schwartz were through passengers from Sydney to-day.
“We consider our chances are fair," was the summing up by the captainmanager, Harry Hopman. He said their first meeting in the American zone would be against Mexico at Kansas City. Should they succeed, they would then 'meet tlie winners of Japan and Canada, and, if successful, would be in the running for games with the winners of the European zone section, and so would meet America.
They will also play in the American championship doubles at Boston and the singles at Forest Hills, New York. The tourists will play in tournaments in California and arrive back in Sydney on November I. The Australians range in age from 19 to 31 years. All are in good form.
