NATIONAL PARTY MEETS CANDIDATE INTRODUCED tHerald Correspondont.) The Annual meeting of the Nuhaka branch of the New Zealand National Party was held in the L.D.S. Hall on Thursday evening there being an attendance of 50 members and supporters of the party. The president, Mr. J. Goldstone. gave a summary of the past year's activities, and outlined the healthy financial position of the branch.

Mr. K. F. Jones, the National Party’s candidate for the Gisborne electorate at the next elections, was introduced by Mr. A. J. Nicol, chairman of the Gisborne executive, who said their candidate was young, keen and full of energy. Mr. Jones, in his 'remarks, said it gave him much pleasure to meet so many of the Nuhaka supporters of the party.
