WATERWINGS DEAD HORSES FOR TRENTIIAH FRANCIS DRAKE WORKING By “Trenton.” The death is reported at the Koatanui stud of Mr. G. M. Currie's 18-year-old mare W-a'terwing-s, by Absurd from Sea Elf. W'aterwings, who was carrying a filly foal by Spiral, was the dam of 10 foals, nine of which had been sold by Mr. Currie at an average of 930 guineas. They included Agrion, Zetes, Chile, Water Polo, Waikare, and White Wings, all winners. He will probably be ridden at Trentham by P. Burgess. For Trentham Advance Plane will probably accompany Ned Cuttle and Mortal to Trentham. Chat is Well Chat is looking bright and well and will probably contest the high-weight event on the middle day at Trentham. Back in Work Francis Drake is back in work, but Courtcraft is still at Oringi. Turned Out Sporting Song and Platter have been ■blistered and turned out. They are not likely to race for a considerable lime. Kentucky Song has been returned to her owner.
