The result was: Koke King. 10.3 (Smith), 1: Turf Boy, 11.7 (Fullarton). 2; Whernside, 9.5 (Mcßae), 3. Won by two lengths, and three lengths. Time, 3.4 3-4. Fourteen started, including Pooley Bridge, Trilelia. Dornl'ord, Dakwood, African, Jollv Bov.
The Chief Ruler gelding, Flying Chief finished third in the Esplanade Welter Handicap which was won by Faneii'ort.
