WAIROA WEDDING
JOHNSON—KNAPP St. Peter’s Church, Wairoa, was the scene of a quiet wedding recently when Irene, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Knapp, Wairoa, was united in I the bonds of matrimony to Victor 1 Bell, son of the late Mr. M. Johnson ; and Mrs. Johnson, Wairoa. The cere--1 mony was conducted by Father ' Doherty. ; The bride was attired in a Cosa : blue costume and halo hat. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and asparagus fern. Her sister, Miss Joan Knapp, the bridesmaid, wore a salmon pink dress, and carried a bouquet to tone. Mr. Gilbert Devery, Wairoa, was best man. The bride’s mother wore a navy blue costume. A reception was later held at Osier's tea rooms, where relatives and friends were entertained- by Mr. and Mrs. Knapp. The bride and bridegroom left later for a tour of the north. Their future home will be near Wairoa.
