FILMS AT CASTLE
PRINCESS' BIRTHDAY UNIONISTS' COM PLA INT LONDON. April 22. Princess Elizabeth's birthday party, at which Disney films were 'shown, figures in a union dispute. Cinema projectionists, who have been on strike for several days, protested that "blacklegs" were being employed at Windsor Castle. The Electrical Trades Union joined the cinema projectionists in a protest. "We -explained to the union that no electricians are employed in the amateur shows which the King and Queen give for the amusement of their guests," said a castle official. "The projectionist at these is one of the King's pages. He first took it up as a hobby, then the King had him instructed. "We shall continue to show films whenever they are wanted," the official added.
