SUDETEN GERMAN GROUP EQUALITY IN LANGUAGE PLACE IN EDUCATION POSTS IN CIVIL SERVICE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. May 4, 10 a.m.) LONDON, May 3. The Prague correspondent of The Times states that the Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia, Dr. M. Hodza, is framing a national statute to meet the grievances of the Sudeten German Party.
It is believed that the plans include provision for an extension of the law to enable the German language to rank equal with the Czech or Slovak, cultural autonomy to all minorities in conjunction with the provision of a separate budget, and the administration of all cultural and educational interests, including schools, in the language of the respective minority, the employment of civil, servants proportional ,to, the minority'Yelation to the total population, proportional participation by minorities in Government and municipal contracts, and the establishment of a special controller's office on which the minorities will be proportionally represented to supervise the impartial administration of the statute provisions.
