CHILDREN'S PARTY (Humid Correspondent.) A. delightfully arranged party was given by Mr. and Mrs. N. H." Tuck at their home in Tikitiki to celebrate the eighth birthday of their daughter, Jocelyn. Misses Phillis Tuck, I. Banks and J. Archibald assisted Mrs Tuck in entertaining the young people. The children played party games and sang nursery rhymes, having a happy time. The party tea was served in the dining-room, where balloons and streamers fluttered overhead. A bowl of mauve, bronze, and pink chrysanthemums adorned the piano, while the tea table was tastefully decorated with autumn-tinted African marigolds and laden with the delectable hoodies that children appreciate. A large pink and white iced birthday cake resplendent with eight coloured r indies was gaily decorated. A delightful feature was the presentation of numerous birthday gifts. Others present included Norman, lan and Olga Wilcox, Bubby, Rangi ■iiid Woodles Morete, Jim Coats, George, Clare and Lila Ferris, Neville and Douglas Tuck, Barney Taare, and Sid White.
