BITUMEN ON ALL ROADS
ESTIMATE OF COST DELAY BY FLOOD WORK An estimate of the cost of bitumen surfacing all roads within the borough was to have been submitted to the Gisborne Borough Council last night by the borough engineer, Mr. E. R. Thomas. The contemplated report however, ! was not available, Mr. Thomas stating | that the extra work in connection with the water supply at Waingake as a result of the flood prevented him completing the estimate. The information asked for would be submitted to the next meeting of the council. Mr. Thomas added-
