TOLAGA BAY NEWS
LEAOUE OF MOTHERS (Hcrulil Corrnspondi'iit.) The Hauiti branch of the League of Mothers held the first meeting of the year at the home of Mrs. Grey. Those present were Mesdames Grey, G Notinoa, secretary, D. Temple, J. Noanoa, Hautapu, Tangahou, Jackson. Timirihau, C. Parker, and Miss M. Goddard, president. One father, Mr. Hautapu, attended the meeting, to get an idea of the work of the league, and received a cordial welcome.
The president gave an interesting talk on the objects of the league and its rules. Each member contributed a short speech and a song. It was decided to hold the next meeting on Monday, May 18, at the home of Mrs. J. Noanoa. A happy evening concluded with a refreshing cup of tea, and a hearty vote of thanks was extended to Mrs. Grey for the use of her home.
