MAYORAL CAMPAIGN
MR. BULL AT WAIKANAE ROAD POLICY EXPLAINED In view of the adverse weather conditions ruling last night, the attendance in the Waikanae Beach Kiosk to hear an address by Mr. N. 11. Bull, a candidate for the Mayoral campaign, was good. The candidate was given an attentive hearing, and at the close was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and confidence, this being carried by acclamation.
Mr. Bull advocated support for a Women's Rest Room, and explained his roading policy, which would extend over a period of three years, attention being paid first to the bus routes radiating from the centre of the town.
lie disclaimed all intention of interfering with the borough staff, for it was not the duty of the Mayor but of the heads of the departments to supervise their stalf. Advocating a sound and progressive policy, he assured the electors that in the event of the expenditure of borough money, the fullest and most accurate explanation of the details would be given without suppression or exaggeration of facts.
