These pictures were taken during the combined air and naval exercises by the British Home Fleet. The fleet, returning from Gibraltar, engaged in convoy exercise. In the Channel it was attacked by aeroplanes and submarines. On the left is an aerial view of H.M.S. Nelson, and on the right planes of a torpedo bomber squadron are seen setting out in the late evening to deliver an attack. The machines are Vickers Vildebeestes.
