CHECK ON INSECTS
IMPERIAL AIRWAYS PLAN
LONDON, March 22. Imperial Airways has developed an insecticide plant which it believes will make the migration of insects by aircraft impossible. It consists of a sprinkler system giving off a fine, dry spray which does not affect clothing or fittings. Flying-boats will be fumigated at each stopping-place before passengers embark. It is being tried out on the South African route and if successful will be introduced in the Australian service.
