At the Ascot races to-day, the r.imond gelding Kow Tow won the Second Division of the Progressive Handicap. noyul Helena was unplaced in the Third Division. Silver Standard, who was much fancied for the Summer Cup, was withdrawn to-day, but has been left m the Villiers Stakes. Mr. Percy Miller, of the Kia Ora stud, Scone, has bought, in England, die five-year-old horse Midstream, by Blandford, which sired four Derby winners, including Blenheim, which sired the English Derby winner Mahmoud. Mr. Miller paid £.'1(175 for Midstream.
