BABIES DIE IN FIRE
MEN SAVE DOLL IN ERROR GLASGOW, Oct. 21. Three babies were suffocated while asleep to-day in a house at Gallowgate square, Largs, Ayrshire. Three men saw smoke, rushed into the house, and carried what they thought was a child to safety, only to discover they had rescued a large doll. As they reached the street Mrs. Edward Miller, returned from shopping, screamed that her babies were still in the house. She went back with the men, and carried out Georgia, aged four, James, aged two, Robert, aged seven months. One was already dead. The other two died in hospital.
