ENGLISH COMPULSORY
GERMAN HIGH SCHOOLS TEACHING OF SPANISH BERLIN, Oct. 13. The Minister of Education announced to-day that, henceforth, Spanish would be treated on an equality with the French and Italian languages in German secondary schools. Every student in a secondary school must learn two foreign languages, but English remains compulsory.
