CREAMERY BURNED
KIWITAHI OUTBREAK The Kiwitahi creamery and casein factory, owned by the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., and situated near the Kiwitahi railway station, near Morrinsville, was destroyed by lire on Saturday morning. The fire is believed to have started from a spark lodging in the wooden portion of the roof and was noticed by some nearby farmers, who gave the alarm. A few of the factory workers, who were available, assisted by a number of farmers, endeavoured to check the (ire, carrying water in buckets from the factory tanks. The wooden walls of the building, however, burned fiercely and in less than an hour the factory, which was valued at about £4500, was reduced to ashes.
