BLIND GIRL BROADCASTS
LONDON, Aug. 20. An 18-year-old blind Hull girl. Eve Baldwin," realised her life ambition last night when she broadcast from the Spa Royal Hall, Bridlington. She won a competition for entertaining, the prize for which was a voucher to be spent at any shop. But she said that this was no use to her as she was blind and could not choose anything. She was asked what she would like instead, and she replied, “I'd like to broadcast.”
