AERIAL AMBULANCE
HOSPITAL PATIENT WANGANUI-CHRISTCHURCH (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, last night. Conveyed by motor ambulance and aeroplane, a Christchurch woman, who was taken ill in the North Island, made the journey from Wanganui to the Christchurch Public Hospital in 7J hours to-day. Leaving Wanganui at 9 a.m. she was taken bv the Wellington free ambulance to Wellington, where she was transferred to the WACO cabin aeroplane belonging to the Wellington Aero Club, which left for Christchurch at 2.25 p.m. The last stage of the journey was made by the St. John Ambulance, which took her at about 4.30 p.m. from the Wigram aerodrome to the hospital.
