INFANT BOY DROWNED
LEFT FOR FEW MOMENTS BODY FOUND IN DRAIN A drowning fatality occurred at Shannon on Wednesday, the victim being Bernard Lawrence Prier, the two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Prier.
Mrs. Prier was in the garden at the front of the house and left the child, who was with her. while she returned to the house for a few moments. She returned to find her son missing. A search was instituted and a visitor, Mrs. R. Roberts, discovered him at the bottom of an Bft. drain which contained 3ft. of water. Mr. Prier was called and artificial respiration was applied without result.
