MARKET HOLDS FIRM GOOD SELECTION (Reed. July 16, noon.) LONDON, July 15. At the London wool sales 10,407 bales were offered, including 3476 from New Zealand, and 8324 were sold. There was a good selection. The market was firm. New Zealand lots sold were: Slipe halfbred lambs, Kiwi, 21>d: crossbred lambs, Kiwi, top price 20d, average 19Jd; greasy halfbreds, Claxby, top price 19£d, average 18d. Bradford tops quotations are:— Merinos, seventies, 39Jd; sixty-fours, 37Jd; sixties, 36d; crossbreds, fiftyeights, 32d: fifty-sixes, 29id; fifties, 25Jd; forty-sixes, 25d; forty-fours, 25d.
The market is very firm and fair and business in yarns is hardening.
