BODY BENEATH CAR
FATE OF FARMER DISCOVERY IN SWAMP (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. The body of Leonard Harold Floyd, a farmer, aged 40 years, of Moawhango, Taihape, was found pinned under a car in a swamp at the roadside about a mile from his home yesterday. The vehicle was found lying in 3ft. of water and a watch on the body which stopped at 8.20 p.m. probably indicates the time when the accident occurred.
Mr. Floyd was last seen leaving Taihape for home at 7 o'clock on Wednesday. He was a married man with two young sons and was a returned soldier. Mr. Lloyd was badly gassed in the Great War.
