MEN SPRAYED BY ACID
RESULT OF COLLISION MELBOURNE, June 22. Two men were sprayed by sulphuric acid when the motor truck in which they were travelling came into collision with a rail motor trolley at a crossing on the Hume Highway, near Wangaratta, this morning. /.A jar of the acid carried on the ti'olley burst, and the contents fell over the two occupants of the truck,,. Wormsn Trickey, 42, of Yarraville, and William Edward Beyer, 49, of East Coburg. The acid was so strong that it burnt paint off the side of the cabin* of the motor truck. The clothing was torn off Trickey and Beyer to prevent the acid soaking through to their bodies. They were taken to the .Community Hospital at Wangaratta suffering facial abrasions and shock, in addition to burns from the acid. The trolley, which was thrown into the air by the collision, was wrecked.
