2D NG-ATIPOROU BONUS SEASON’S AVERAGE 13D (Special to the Herald.) RUATORIA, this day. An additional payment of 2d per lb on butterfat will be available for distribution to suppliers of the Ngatiporou Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, and will bring the average distribution over all grades during the season to 13.0 Gd per lb, excluding cartage. •

The bonus payment will absorb £11,473 Us 6d, and will bring the total disbursements for the season up to £76,970 11s 2d, compared with £63,034 8s 3d for the previous season.

These figures were placed before a meeting of directors this week, when it was reported that the total manufacture for the season was 743.52 tons, an increase of 52 tons on the record established last year.

Of the total butter graded, 42.952 per cent was paid for at the basic guaranteed price, while 49.115 per cent received a premium of .Id per lb. As 95 per cent of the company’s make was exported, these figures were considered eminently satisfactory. Of the cream graded on arrival at the factory, 77 per cent was finest and 21 per cent first grade. Overhead and manufacturing costs showed an all round increase, the cost of butter boxes being particularly heavy.

N. AUCKLAND FACTORY NEARLY 13|D. PER LB. The average pay-out of the Ruawai Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., for the past season will reach nearly llfd over all grades. There is a balance of £23,950 in the appropriation account. After placing £75 to reserve account the directors recommend payment of 3 per cent dividend on paid-up share capital, requiring £546, a further payment of Jd per lb. on butterfat supplied during June and July, and 13d for August to May (inclusive), which will make the average payment over all grades 13.7193 d. In 1935-36 the season average was 12.1969 d.

Total charges, including repairs and depreciation up to f.0.b., were 1.8497 d per lb. butterfat, against 1.6262 d in 1935-36.

The factory output was 1757 tons, an increase of 217 tons.
