The Claudclands post office, a small lock-up shop in Te Aroha street, was entered during Tuesday night, the front door having been forced with an iron implement. Several letters were opened, but the safe was not tampered with. As far as is known, no money was taken. Whether anything of value was taken from the letters is not known.
