HOCKEY TOURISTS WIN
POUR GOALS TO NIL FIRST GAME AT MANLY (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) SYDNEY, July 13. The New Zealand hockey team played its first match at Manly to-day aganist the Northern Suburbs Association team.| New Zealand won by four goals to nil. Goals were scored by Roughton (2), Dey and Watson. The outstanding player was Smellie. The general form of the New Zealanders was below the standard shown by former tourists, but this is probably due to the fact that they have not yet got their land legs.
