NEARLY £1,000,000 MORE
CIVIL SERVICE VOTE ESTIMATES IN BRITAIN (Reed. July 14, noon.) LONDON, July 13. Nearly £1,000,000 more is required for the Civil Service Supplementary estimates, which provide for £79,680 as the British contribution to the international fund for working the nonintervention agreement in respect to Spain, and £BO,OOO as expenses for British observers in Portugal, to which the Portuguese Government is contributing £16,000. The Board of Education requires £177,000 in connection with the new physical training scheme. The increased salaries of members of Parliament will absorb £84.300.
