WEEK OF HAPPINESS
VISIT TO SCOTLAND MESSAGE FROM KING (BritiHh Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 12. The King and Queen and Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret Rose travelled by the Royal train through the night from Scotland, arriving at Euslon early this morning. Before leaving Edinburgh, the King sent a message to the Lord Provost in which he said: “It was natural that my first visit to Edinburgh after accession should be an occasion of great significance for me, linked as I am with Scotland in a very special way, but the week spent in your beautiful city also has been full of happiness for the Queen and myself.”
The King described the warmth of the welcome extended to the Queen and himself and the two Princeses as unforgettable, and said they all looked forward to a return visit before long.
