ESTIMATE OF £80,000,000 DROUGI i'T-STR FOREX ARE A (Reed. Julv 13, 3 p.m.) REGINA. July 12. An irrigation plan for the droughtstricken Saskatchewan areas sponsored by eastern financiers is before the Dominion Government. The aim is to conserve and distribute the waters of two Saskatchewan rivers. The cost of the work is estimated tit £80,000,000. Owing to the small crop in Calgary, 1000 railway workers are idle. The heaviest rains of the season are general in Alberta. They are 100 late to benefit tire crops, but will mean a valuable saving in feed.
