JOLTS AND BITING

EACH TAKES A FALL McCREADY AND LITTLE WOLF (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Elbow jolts were many and blood flowed freely when Chief Little Wolf and Earl McCready drew in a wrestling bout to-night. A colourful wrestler, Little Wolf did not hesitate to use rough tactics such as jolts with his elbows and knees, biting and hurling McCready across the ring with a spectacular headlock throw.

McCready, however, had the advantage in weight and size. He took a fall in the sixth round with repeated violent dumps and a body press. In the last round, however, when he dumped Little Wolf and went to pin him, the Indian rose erect in a deathlock, applying tremendous leverage* by flopping over backwards until McCready submitted. A large crowd watched the bout.
