TEAM TO MEET P.B. NEXT SATURDAY'S MATCH (Herald Correspondent.) The team to represent the East Coast against Poverty Bay at Wai-o-matatini next Saturday will consist of the following players:--Fullback, M. Waititi (Matakaoa); three-quarters, B. Hati (Ruatoria), H. Riini (Matakaoa), and P. Kutia (Tolaga); five-eighths, T. Wi Repa (Ruatoria), and J. Reedy (Ruatoria); half, B. Tuheke (Tolaga); forwards, Pewhairangi (Tokomaru), Doole (Matakaoa), G. Reedy (Ruatoria), PGoldsmith (Ruatoria), Lockwood (Tolaga), W. Tuhoro (Waiapu), W. Tibbie (Waiapu), and Houkamau (Matakaoa); reserves, R. Grace (Ruatoria), and To Runa (Tokomaru). The performance of Riini must have been so outstanding as to substitute Popere at centre, but that appointment appears to be experimental. Pepere certainly feeds his inside backs better than the other man. The non-inclusion of Lincoln, Tawhai, McClutchie, and Dan Tuhoro among the forwards is difficult to understand.
