NO DEVELOPMENTS

AUCKLAND MYSTERY OPERATION ON MR. SINGER (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night No developments have been reported from the police investigations into the explosion which caused the injury to Mr. R. A, Singer just after he had entered the gate to his residence on Friday evening, and the matter remains a mystery. The only evidence available concerns the materials used in the bomb and nothing has been revealed to point to tire identity of the peruetrator of the outrage. The belief that a trip wire was used is brought into disfavour as Mr. Singer’s daughter had previously walked along the path and at the time of the explosion was away on an errand. An X-ray examination revealed two pieces of metal in the wound in Mi. Singer's leg and to-night he was removed to a private hospital, where he will undergo an operation for the removal of the metal.
