GLADIOLI SOCIETY
FIRST ANNUAL MEETING At the first annual meeting of the Gladioli Society, held last evening, Mr. A. S. Seymour presided over a good attendance' of members. The annual report and the balance sheet, Which shqwed that the society had a small surplus of funds, were adopted. 'Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: President, Mr. A. S. Seymour; vice-president, Mrs. F. S. Falls; hon. secretary, Mr. R. Hickman; committee, Mesdames V. Wise, M. Stevens, R. Hickman and G. White, and Mr. L. J. Steele. Plans were discussed for a flower show to be held in Gisborne towards the end of the year.
