STOLEN RADIO SET
NOVEL EXPLANATION took it to a party (P«r Prens Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The unusual explanation that he removed a radio set from a stranger’s flat in order to take it to a party was made by Roy James Whelan, a farm labourer, aged 26, who pleaded guilty at the Magistrate’s Court to breaking and entering and theft. Jn a statement to the police, Whelan said he consumed a quantity o', liquor on the night of the theft. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. •
