SIXTY TO EIGHT WELLINGTON VICTORY WAIRARAPA OVERWHELMED (Per Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Wellington overwhelmed Wairarapa by GO points to 8 in the Rugby representative match to-day. The weather was ideal and the ground firm. The attendance was under 5000.

The match gave no opportunity for the New Zealand selectors, all oj whom were present, to gauge the merits of the players nominated, or likely to be nominated for the AH Black, trials, as it was more of a practice run for Wellington than a contest of football strength.

Wairarapa fielded a young and inexperienced team, no members of which showed football ability above die average.

The scorers of tries for Wellington were Hansen (5), Griffiths (2), Edwards, Pringle, Andrews, Le Quesne, Leahy, Fleming, and J. Wells. Pollock converted three, Fleming four, and Griffiths potted a goal.

For Wairarapa, Grantham scored a try, Brunton converted, and also kicked a penalty goal.
