INCREASE IN REVENUE
BRITISH EXCHEQUER EXPEIDTURE ALSO RISES (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 29. The Exchequer returns show that the total ordinary revenue for the current financial year to date amounts to £133,347,323, compared with £121,736,656 last year. All items of direct taxation show increased yields and the customs and excise duties collected totalled £79,539,000, against £73,519,000 at the corresponding date last year. The total ordinary expenditure to the end of last week was £199,117,221, compared with £190,703,929 at the corresponding date last year.
