30 PILASTERS CRACKED LONDON, June IG. The Rome correspondent of the News-Chronicle says: “An investigation of a fall of masonry in St. Peter’s; has revealed that 30 out of 150 marble pilasters supporting the structure are cracked. Repairs are being carriedout immediately. There is no danger at present.”
