STOCK IMPORT EMBARGO

RETENTION REGRETTED CATTLE FROM BRITAIN NEW ZEALAND ATTITUDE (Klcc. Tol. Copyright—United Press Assn.) . (Reed. June 30, 2.20 p.m.) LONDON, June 29. Regret that the New Zealand embargo on stock from Britain has not been lifted was expressed by Mr. G. B. Dermer, the leader of a party of New Zealand and South African farmers who are touring Europe, when speaking at a luncheon tendered the party by Messrs. Thomas Cook and Son. “I think it a great mistake that New Zealand is not opening her doors to cattle from England," he said. “Many people at home are adopting the wrong attitude.” The party hopes to inspect the quarantine station here to gather vital information concerning the question of removing the ban. Officials of the company referred to the value of such tours and expressed the hope that they would be followed by others.
