Dalgety and Company on the estate of Mrs. Agnes E. Boyd, Te Araroa, attracted a good attendance of Coast farmers and practically the whole of the offering, except for the land, changed hands. The land, including three acres in To Araroa township, as well as the 181 acres of farm land near the township, did not create much interest, no offers being received. The stock and sundries sold readily at satisfactory prices. The cows, which were rather old and backward, bought from £2 5s to £3 6s. There was a particularly good demand for horses, half-draughts being specially sought after. One broken-in gelding sold at £3O, and yearling half-draughts bought from £G to £B.
