CONTEMPT OF COURT
EX-MODERATOR FINED PROSPECT OP PRISON (Reed. June 30, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, June 29. Dr. T. M. Johnstone, a former moderator of the General Assembly ol the Presbyterian Church in Ireland was fined £IOO for contempt of court during a speech to the General Assembly at Belfast criticising the King's Bench for granting a new license. Dr. Johnstone was ordered to be detained in gaol till the fine was paid. He was told lie could not appeal. He will be permitted to attend the ordination of his son on Thursday, after which lie must surrender at the gaol. A clergyman tried to address the court, which broke up in disorder.
