There passed away at Kawakawa Hospital. Bay of Islands, recently a well-known Maori social worker, Mrs. Rewa Bennett. J.P., of Parnell, Auckland. Mrs. Bennett was well known as being the first Maori to be elected a justice of the peace, and she lectured extensively on Maori topics in Auckland for many years,
