SPORTS COUNCIL PLAN
SOUTHERN REACTIONS MINISTER GRATIFIED (For Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Discussing his proposals ior the establishment of a National Sports Council, the Hon. W. E. Parry said he had received from southern sports bodies yesterday morning some valuable reports and well-thought-out suggestions which Ire felt would aid a great deal in bringing into practical effect the scheme proposed. He was greatly pleased with the amount of consideration northern and southern sports bodies had bestowed on the formation of the organisation. The recommendations and suggestions received, and those to be received at the end of the present month would be collated and then arrangements would be made for a second conference in Wellington.
