ANGLICAN OH FROM (lieraid Correspondent.) A happy little gathering took place in Nuhaka when members of the Njilinka Anglican Church and their friends assembled to welcome the Rev. C. Hyde, and Mrs. Hyde, the former being the newly-appointed vicar of the Wairosi parish. Over 40 people were present. The room had been tastefully decorated by Mesdatnes J. P. Millar, P. J. Brewster and F. H. Young, members of the Nuhaka Anglican Ladies’ Guild. The president, Mrs. J. P. Millar, on behalf of the guild, welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Hyde, and members of the Wairon guild, to which in a luippy speech Mr. Hyde replied, expressing their great pdeasure in meeting so many of the Nuhaka people, and hoped they would all work together in unity and strength. Matters pertaining to tlie church were discussed, and also the business of the guild. Pretty posies were presented to Mrs. Hyde by Miss Judy Short and Master Jimmy Millar. Several competitions were held during the afternoon, the winners being:— Jumble names.—Mrs. S. Holley. Parcel. —Mrs. J. Millar. Telegram.—Rev. C. Hyde. Miss Millie Nepia sang a pleasing solo. A delicious afternoon tea was dispensed by members of the guild.
