GISBORNE STATISTICS LAST MONTH’S FIGURES The vital statistics for Gisborne last month arc unfavourable, births and marriages were fewer than in .May last year and deaths increased. For the first five months of the year, however, the position was better. A slight reduction in births and a very small increase in deaths occurred, but the marriage notices showed a considerable increase on the first live months of last year.
