HAWKE'S BAY EXPORTS ONLY 9035 CASES The export season for Hawke's Bay, almost completely wiped out, us a result of the disastrous frost experienced early in the season, has now been completed. The final figures show that a lot a I of 9035 eases of fruit was exported from this district, as against an export of some .'IOO,OOO cases which was estimated prior to the frost. Tlie total was made up of 7068 cases of apples and 3958 cases of pears, the apples being mainly Doughertics. During the 1934-35 season the export from Hawke's Bay totalled 238,052 eases, comprising 170,714 cases of apples and (31,93.8 cases of pears. During the 1935-30 season, when severo damage was caused by the storm early in February, the export was reduced to .197,015 cases, comprising 150,837 cases of apples and 46,178 cases of pears.
