FATALITIES IN TRIALS
INDIANAPOLIS SPEEDWAY MECHANIC AND SPECTATOR INDIANAPOLIS, May 29. Two accidents which occurred during tests in the preliminary for the Memorial Day motor race were responsible for two men being killed and serious injuries to four persons. A speedway mechanic was killed when a motor car overturned after the controls locked when travelling at a speed of 11!) miles an hour. A spectator was killed when a burning motor car struck another vehicle [miked in a service pit. The total deaths for 25 years is now 33.
