EX-SOVIET COMMISSAR PRISON CELL TRAGEDY (Else. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received May 29. 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 23. The Daily Mail's Warsaw correspondent learns that the former Russian Minister. M. G. G. Yapoda last night was fatally shot in a cell at Moscow by his successor, M. Ycgov. M. Yagoda was given an opportunity to commit suicide, but refused.
M. Yagoda's Former sweetheart., ihc actress, Wanda Eosendorf, tried to see him earlier, hut was recognised, upon which she drew out- a revolver and .-lift, herself.
