(Herald Correspondent.) Glorious weather greeted the party accompanying the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, on their visit. The party saw the Coast at its best, for after the downpour of last week the whole country-side appeared remarkably green and fresh, giving the party a most favourable impression. A sharp earthquake roused many sleepers at 4 a.m. on May 2C, but no damage was done. Mr. and Mrs. T. Bush are paying a brief visit to Gisborne and are the guests of Mrs. A. T. Hookey, Whitaker street.
